Being Nature

Inspired by Dolores Dewhurst – Marks and her project Being Nature, which encourages people to discover their own ways of connecting with their deeper selves and the natural world, I began taking photographs during some of her retreats. Later, I started inviting friends to explore what happens when they simply stay in a forest or natural environment—not performing, but just being present and open to whatever unfolds spontaneously. I captured with my camera the moments that caught my attention—their interactions with the space, their surroundings, and their relationship with the natural world.
Through this process, I aim to inspire them to feel nature as an extension of their own bodies, and from this embodied understanding, move toward positive change with awareness of the current environmental challenges. This work offers a space for exploration, collaboration, artistic expression, and environmental activism.
